Nope.  I'm not dead.  Not in jail, either.  I didn't sneak out of the country in the dead of night.  No such luck.  You don't get rid of me that easily. Thanks for thinking of me, though (especially the fellow who had the local sheriff's deputies make me prove to them that I was ok a couple of nights ago).  Seriously...thanks.  I can't tell you how much it means to know that so many out there are thinking of me and getting concerned when the web site is off line.

My soon-to-be ex-web-hosting company went off line on Jan 24 and then strung me along with "It'll be back up shortly," for the next six days.  I should know better.  I've been there before, heaven knows. I think it was simple incompetence and lack of advertised backup/failsafe capability, which is why ehostone.com is about to become my ex Web hoster.  I never hesitate to lay blame where it is deserved and, all too often, properly, it must be laid at the feet of those-whose-name-must-not-be-mentioned.  You know...the Chosen. Not this time, though.

And I think I'd make such a grand martyr, too.  Who knows? I may yet get my chance.  In fact, I have no doubt but what I will get my chance one of these days, given the way things are going.  It has become clear that, though my messages are borderline toxic, they are getting through to a great many people and my kind of thinking is becoming more mainstream every day.  Every day that you help to spread the word, that is.  After all, it really is our message, isn't it?

Bush gave his annual BS, aka "The State of the Union address," the other night and the Democrats gave their response. Repeatedly, throughout the one-hour pablum that Bush the Lesser was ladling out, I kept looking at the audience shots and thinking, "Man...almost all the Senators and Representatives, the Supremes (enrobed, though off duty, as if they have become some sort of clergy), the Joint Chiefs, Chertoff, Federal Reserve members, Cheney, Bush, Congo Lisa and a whole cast of supporting players ... all in one place at the same time. What an opportunity gone to waste!"  What?  Oh, to slap each one upside the head for his or her various treasons, omissions and errors, of course - what did you think I meant?

The State of the Revolution

I'm working on a little something that I intend to issue on a semi-regular basis, certainly every year at about this time:  The State of the Revolution - an address to the American people. I'll have it out within a week, most likely.  I have to be extremely careful with the wording, as you might well appreciate.

Ron Paul Lives On

Some who may have read The R3volution is Dead, Long Live the Revolution a little too quickly seem to have gotten the idea that I have deserted Ron Paul.  Not so.  I stand by my friends and those who support my causes.  All I did was take Dr. Paul to task for not challenging the New Hampshire vote fraud and then I accepted the reality that he is not serious about doing whatever it takes to become President.

As I said in R3volution, "we still can change America and change her we will.  And you still will be the grand old man of the New Revolution, Dr. Paul.  You were there at the beginning, after all.  The times picked you for us, as they always have picked their own agents of change.  But you no longer are setting this beast's agenda. It has taken on a shape and a mind of its own now.  It will pick up speed and choose new leaders as it mows down everything in its path."

And Dr. Paul still is in there, slugging away.  Can we do any less?  It is our fight that he is fighting, after all.  "I've got your back," is a deadly-serious pledge to me and rest assured that I have got Ron Paul's back.

We still must do what we can within the system, but now I am looking beyond that for the real solution to America's problems. That does not mean I am advocating anything illegal.  On the contrary - like all true Conservatives, I am a borderline pacifist. 

However, I believe that events will bring us the opportunity to make change of a meaningful nature.  We must be ready.  Our new leaders are out there at this very moment, fretting and worrying over what to do.  You might be one of them! 

Don't laugh - it could happen.  Really.  I know exactly what you thought when you read that.  Well, read this:  I know for a fact that some of America's leaders of tomorrow are reading these very words right now.  Just exactly why is it so far fetched that you could end up being one of them, after all?

What Can We Do?

So, what do we do for now? We wait and we prepare to respond. We also continue to back Dr. Paul in his Quixotic bid for the Presidency with both our time and our money - after all, it brings us converts every day, people with whom we might be sharing foxholes, both euphemistic and real, in the not-so-distant future.

Have you ever walked a precinct?  I have.  I walked my first precinct for the Libertarian Party in its formative years long ago, following the Viet Nam war.  You meet people.  You energize people.  Most of all, though, they energize you.

Want to do something right now?  Well, it just so happens that, all across America, right now - the next few days - is the most important time to be walking precincts for Dr. Paul.  Super Tuesday almost is here.  It's easy and the materials are waiting for you just to pick them up.
