Remember the scene from one of those Star Wars movies, where the rebel forces are mounting their seemingly-futile attack upon the Death Star and Luke Skywalker, piloting a little space flyer, is having trouble lining up the target?  "Steady....steady...." comes the voice over the intercom as he grows increasingly desperate, then a soft, susurrated whisper from the back of his mind:  "Remember the force, Luke...trust in the force..."  Luke shoves the viewfinder aside and calmly guides his missile by feel into the single vulnerable entry point on the Death Star's surface, leading to its total destruction. 

Well, that is my message to you:  Remember and trust in the force of the bull market for silver and gold.  It takes ice water in your veins to watch your current investment drop like precious metals are dropping at the moment of this writing and still wear a grim smile, but that's what is called for now.  Silver just dropped under $13.  The soft strains of our song, "It's Buying Time Again," are playing in the background.  You might seriously consider buying some silver (and gold if that is your wont) right now.... right this second.  You have just minutes because dealers will be nervous to commit to a spot price over the weekend without an open market against which to lay it off.  Steve Baldwin's (my PM dealer in Spokane) number is 1-800-577-8332.  But just some ... I think it likely that there is more down being applied to the price of silver to come.

It's Friday.  They've pulled out all the stops to make a statement that will stand over the weekend.  The stock market is down, but nothing like what it would be without their Herculean efforts.  The dollar is up a just a little, for all the effort being expended.  With less than an hour to go, silver is down 80 cents an ounce on the day and gold is down nearly $22.  The extended, overseas markets will stay closed until Sunday afternoon and then should be watched to see if we can glean what might happen Monday morning in America.
